Well did you know they contain paint thinner? Paint thinner or trisodium phosphate is a common chemical used by construction workers to thin the paint that they use. It is also used as a degreaser, mildew remover, and a siding cleaner. The FDA has warned people against cleaning with this chemical as it can harm them and the environment, so why now is it okay for us to consume this potentially harmful chemical in our cereal? Most cereal industries use this ingredient to preserve their cereals life on the shelf.
